What is the Sandpoint Filmmakers Network?

This network creates a pool of local resources for making films in Sandpoint. We hold monthly meetings to share techniques, talk about projects we are doing or would like to do, or any film-related topics of interest to attendees. There is no membership fee.

Who can be part of the network?

It takes many types of skills to make a film. Camera operators, actors, sound and lighting technicians, script & music writers, organizers, and a multitude of other skills are needed. If you have an interest in making films – or even if you just want to practice using the video features of your DSLR camera – you are welcome to join the network.

The network connects people from all over the area with a variety of talents and interests, providing a robust community for partnering, sharing, learning, practicing and executing moviemaking skills.

Where will meetings be held?

Regular monthly meetings are on hold due to COVID-19, but will take place at the SFN Clubhouse in 2022. This location is easy to access and private, enabling the group to have meaningful discussions, with enough space to set up equipment for demonstration or practice.
